2.我感觉非常难理解整个句子的语言组织和时态用，我觉得表达同样意思写成The reports aboutanimals falling from sky can be traced back to the 9th century.应该更好理解。

1.此处的have sb do sth不表示“使/叫某人做某事”，而是表示“某人做某事”。having animals fall from the sky是动名词短语作主语。
